Wegmans Food Markets, Inc.
Multiple Projects
Project
Design of 45 typical projects for Wegmans which included intrusion detection, access control, fire alarm and closed circuit television systems for Food Markets, which range in size from 90,000 to 130,000 SF. Intrusion detection consists of a multiplexed digital communicator/controller monitoring approximately 250 points consisting of motion sensors, safe protective devices, door contacts, access control points, etc. Access control consists of intercom and door control systems including a custom "mantrap" utilizing scramble pads and bio metric readers. Fire Alarm Systems consist of fire and smoke detection, audiovisual signaling devices, monitoring of fire protection flow and tamper switches, etc. reporting to a multiplex and analog addressable control panel. Closed circuit television systems consists of approximately 80 color CCTV cameras (most with pan-tilt-zoom control), some with alarm call-up capability, controlled by a microprocessor based switcher. Auxiliary CCTV devices have consisted of 16-channel digital video recorders, 16x, multiplexers, 9x multiplexers, 4x multiplexers (quads), dedicated and shared monitors, alarm call-up monitors, video printers, VCR's, etc.
