Project Highlights

The design was a renovation of a vacant 4-story, plus partial basement, City of Rochester industrial building into 71 affordable and special needs apartment units in combinations of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom rental apartments.

Challenges

Providing modern HVAC, lighting and plumbing to a historic building listed on the National Register.  The design had to balance the historic criteria with NYS HCR design requirements, and Energy Star & NYSERDA efficiency targets.
