M/E Engineering was founded by Al Casey, Ron Mead, Bill Liberto, and Joe Straub in Rochester, NY.
1996
Buffalo Office Expansion
M/E Engineering opens its second office in Buffalo, NY.
1999
First Phase of Inorganic Expansion
M/E acquires Buffalo-based engineering firm WKBW, doubling revenue, while Tony Thomas, Cal Puffer, John Dredger, Bruce Knapp, and Jim Chatelle became shareholders.
2003
Albany Office Expansion
M/E opens its third office in Albany's Capital District.
2004
Syracuse Office Expansion
M/E Engineering opens its fourth office in Syracuse, NY, which houses the Computer-Aided Engineering Services Group.
2011 - 2015
Leadership Bench
Brain Danker, Dave Schlant, and Mike Sullivan join M/E’s leadership team and become shareholders.
2016
Ron Mead Becomes President
Following Al Casey's retirement, Ron Mead becomes President and John Dredger is named Vice President.
2018 - 2019
John Dredger Becomes President
The Rochester office is relocated, Matt Shannon & Rob Stewart join management, and John Dredger becomes president.
2020
New Partners
Melanie Stachowiak and Garrett Donals become partners to the management team.

Buffalo Office Expansion
Michael Sullivan becomes VP, Peter Murrer is promoted to Partner, and Richard Gostling & Craig Mott are promoted to Associate Principals.

Backlog Reaches Record High
M/E Engineering's total backlog eclipses $50M with projects across diversified end-markets.

Salas O'Brian Merger
Salas O’Brien welcomes M/E Engineering into its organization, expanding MEP/FP and sustainable design services across upstate New York while maintaining our local teams, offices, and leadership.
