The FireKeepers Hotel Casino expansion introduced a new guest tower featuring 203 rooms and suites, along with a fully reimagined lobby experience. The project also included a new restaurant, expanded high-limit slot and table game areas, and a dedicated VIP lounge. The 39,000 SF first-level addition was designed to create a welcoming and dynamic arrival experience, highlighted by a lobby bar and modernized front desk. The design thoughtfully reflects the Seven Grandfather Teachings of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi: “Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility, and Wisdom”, integrating these guiding principles throughout the space.
M/E provided full MEP/FP and telecommunications design for the casino expansion and new hotel tower, including a central utility plant with chillers, cooling towers, and boilers. Electrical design included normal and emergency power distribution with a new standby generator. Systems were integrated with existing facilities under a fast-paced design-assist schedule, supporting delivery of a premier destination for FireKeepers and the central Michigan region.
