The Syracuse Community Health Center (SCHC) is a medical facility that includes primary care, dental services, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology services to around 30,000 low-income residents in the heart of downtown Syracuse. The SCHC includes a dental suite, imaging suite, general care suite, and other healthcare support spaces.
The project featured a high-efficiency geothermal HVAC system, advanced electrical distribution with full-building backup power, and integrated life safety, communications, and lighting control systems to support critical healthcare functions. The MEP/FP design emphasized energy performance and system reliability, incorporating ASHRAE 90.1 compliance, detailed energy metering, and robust fire protection systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and resilient healthcare environment.
