Open year-round to the public, Allegany State Park is the largest state park in New York with 65,000 acres of land. The park is known for its diversity of wildlife, lakes, caves, waterfalls, trails, and camping grounds that attract outdoor enthusiasts from across the country. In collaboration with NYS Office of Parks, four (4) new all-inclusive comfort stations were built to accommodate park visitors throughout the seasons, equipped with restroom and shower facilities.
M/E provided the mechanical and electrical design for the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Each building incorporates energy recovery ventilators and radiant floor heating for energy-efficient, year-round comfort. An in-depth energy analysis was conducted to evaluate high-efficiency and renewable heating options, helping the NYS Office of Parks select the best technology to meet both construction and operational budget goals.
