Buffalo City Hall High-Rise Elevators

City of Buffalo

Buffalo City Hall is an iconic Art Deco, 32-story skyscraper designed by architect John Wade, making it one of the largest city halls in the country. It was completed in 1931 and is on both the State and National Register of Historic Places. As part of ongoing modernization efforts, four (4) high-rise elevators were renovated, along with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to support restroom renovations and roof replacements.

All work was completed while the building remained fully occupied, requiring careful coordination and phasing to ensure uninterrupted elevator operation and minimal disruption.
