Since 1988, the Gurwin Healthcare System has been providing healthcare services and senior living accommodations to the residents of Long Island. Having acquired land adjacent to its Fay J. Lindner Assisted Living Residences, the Gurwin Jewish Healthcare Foundation has expanded its continuum of care with the development of the new Fountaingate Gardens independent living community. The 129 newly built, independent apartments now offer various amenities and services to residents, with healthcare services readily accessible at the Gurwin facilities contiguous to the Fountaingate campus.
New construction included two residential buildings, the Terraces (27 apartments) and the Parkview (102 apartments). A third building called the Clubhouse serves as the campus’s centerpiece, holding the community’s dining hall and central lobby. M/E provided HVAC, plumbing, and electric services for the 129 new apartments and supports spaces.
