Located in the heart of downtown Ithaca on the Ithaca Commons, Harolds Square is a transformative mixed-use development combining modern living, retail, and office space in a highly walkable, urban setting. Completed in 2021, the project introduced 25,000 SF of Class A office space, projected to support 200 jobs, and 12,000 SF of ground-floor retail with an estimated 50 additional jobs. Eleven floors of market-rate residential space added 108 new units and approximately 250 residents to the city’s core.
A key feature of the development includes the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the historic William Henry Miller Building, preserving 11,600 SF across three floors of this architectural landmark. M/E provided HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering design for this standout project in downtown Ithaca, NY.
