The Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo relocated to a state-of-the-art facility within Buffalo’s medical corridor. Golisano Children’s Hospital (formerly John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital) l is one of only 43 stand-alone children’s hospitals in the United States and the only one in New York State, serving as Western New York’s regional center for comprehensive pediatric trauma, surgical, and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal, and obstetric services.
Full commissioning services were provided for the new hospital construction, ensuring compliance with FGI and NYSERDA requirements. The scope included HVAC, lighting, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection systems, and temperature control, along with medical gases, nurse call, security, and water treatment systems. Services encompassed development of the commissioning plan, field observation, functional performance testing, documentation, and coordination with NYSDOH representatives.
