Kaleida Health’s investment in Buffalo’s medical market, in partnership with the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, led to the construction of the Gates Vascular Institute (GVI). Directly adjacent to the Buffalo General Medical Center, it is home to the world’s leading center for cardiac and vascular care, neurosciences, and advanced orthopedic and spine surgery.
Full commissioning services were provided for the new facility construction, ensuring all building systems met design intent and performance requirements. Systems commissioned included HVAC units, high-efficiency chillers, cooling towers, lighting and lighting controls, ventilation systems, and various specialty systems.
