We are excited to announce that M/E Engineering has joined Salas O’Brien, effective October 2025. Our offices will remain under the same leadership, and our clients can continue to expect the same team and level of service. As M/E and Salas O’Brien work together, we believe clients will benefit from our combined expertise and geographic reach.
The correctional facility transformed “S” Block into a modern residential mental health unit, including visitor areas, classrooms, activity spaces, therapy cubicles, and administrative offices.
Our work included HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design, as well as LEED consulting under Executive Order 111 to achieve LEED Silver certification. Renovations covered the existing housing unit and a new processing building, with energy modeling and charrettes guiding sustainable design decisions.
Commissioning ensured all systems performed as intended, including temporary emergency power, lighting and controls, and classroom audio/visual systems, delivering a safe, functional, and sustainable facility.
