We are excited to announce that M/E Engineering has joined Salas O’Brien, effective October 2025. Our offices will remain under the same leadership, and our clients can continue to expect the same team and level of service. As M/E and Salas O’Brien work together, we believe clients will benefit from our combined expertise and geographic reach.
The 4th floor of the historic Sibley Building in downtown Rochester underwent a major transformation to become the new corporate headquarters of SWBR Architects. Incorporating the firm’s “work from anywhere” style, their new office offers a diverse and flexible work environment with a range of both open collaboration spaces and private, cozier focus rooms for more individual tasks. Biophilic elements like the lobby’s moss wall and the main studio’s “garden path” blend seamlessly with technology integration to support the mobile work style while also promoting employees’ energy, creativity, and well-being.
MEP/FP design for the transformation included executive offices, conference rooms, a design library, a new kitchen, and two private nursing rooms. The design incorporated a multitude of sustainability features and office amenities, earning the project a LEED Silver certification.
