We are excited to announce that M/E Engineering has joined Salas O’Brien, effective October 2025. Our offices will remain under the same leadership, and our clients can continue to expect the same team and level of service. As M/E and Salas O’Brien work together, we believe clients will benefit from our combined expertise and geographic reach.
This “world-class” comprehensive cancer center was designed to integrate the patient with the research therapies and associated supportive care. It will be designed to provide “research aimed at improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer; compassionate multi-disciplinary patient care; and education of current and future health care professionals".
The facility was designed to house various groups that are involved in both the research and treatment of cancer. As part of a major team, M/E provided a risk assessment for fire, chemical, effluent, biological, magnetic fields, radiation and laser light exposures. Special design elements for labs, linear accelerator and other unique areas demanded close collaborative efforts with the architect. Future needs, technology advances and expansion were also assessed and incorporated in the design.
