Cherry Ridge, A St. Ann's Community - Independent and Assisted Living Facility

Project

A new $30 million campus for St. Ann's Community consisting of 55 Patio Homes, a 71 unit Independent Living Facility and a 51 unit Assisted Living Facility incorporating a special care dementia unit, multi-purpose space, a chapel, and central kitchen and laundry facilities. Provisions were also made for expansion of these facilities in future phases.

M/E Role

Design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems including high efficiency residential HVAC systems for the Patio Homes, unitary HVAC equipment and central domestic water heating systems for the Independent Living Facility and water source heat pump system and associated ventilation for the Assisted Living Building.

Challenges

Working with the Architect of record, CS&D, on the Assisted Living Facility and the local Associate Architect, SWBR, on the Independent Living Facility and the Patio Homes, M/E selected systems to meet the diverse occupancies of the Campus within the budgeting goals of the project.
