PROMOTION
M/E Engineering has promoted Robert K. Stewart, P.E., to Principal in our Buffalo, NY office. He has been with the company for over 12 years and served as Partner since 2017. In addition to helping with our Buffalo operations, Rob also heads up our Hospitality/Gaming/Entertainment group. During his tenure, he has traveled across the country, working with clients to develop innovative entertainment projects, from 1.2M SF casino resorts to major lighting solutions in sports arenas and on college campuses.
"Rob has been instrumental in procuring gaming and hospitality projects in markets we had never ventured in. From California, down to Mississippi, up to our home region of Upstate NY, his influence has been essential to growing this part of our business", said John Dredger, President.

CAREER
Rob is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (BAE). This is a five-year program intended to prepare students for the MEP design industry (3 years engineering and 2 years architecture). He worked as an electrical engineer in Seattle, NYC, and Las Vegas prior to relocating to Buffalo with his family in 2009, when he joined the M/E Engineering team.
Adventuresome Spirit
In addition to engineering, Rob shares a love of the outdoors with his entire family. During his college years, he spent two summers as a whitewater rafting guide on the Gallatin River in Big Sky, Montana. He is pictured here guiding his family through Class 4 and 5 rapids!

Improving Lifestyles with MEP Design
Rob has contributed to a number of significant projects during his tenure at the firm, including managing the MEP design of del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo, NY, ECMC Community Care Center of Excellence in Buffalo, NY, and Scarlet Pearl Casino in Biloxi, MS. When asked about the project he is most proud of, he said "The Buffalo City Mission". "The impact the facility has on the Buffalo and Western NY community is helping people recover from strenuous situations in their lives. The health of the entire community is very important to me."
